The Open-Role Specialist Registry
Platform, custom, generated, and community specialist roles — and why a specialist is a role, not a fixed agent.
A role you can create on demand
A specialist isn't a fixed pre-built character — it's an open role. When a task needs an expert that doesn't exist yet, an agent can author a brand-new specialist (a custom functional role, a focused instructions/system prompt, optional model and tool tags) and materialize it immediately, then delegate to it in the very next step. The registry spans platform roles (each also exported as a file agents can read directly), operator-authored custom roles, roles generated on demand, and community roles — one open vocabulary rather than a locked list.
